I'm just sad

I was on the Hungarian RPG portal I use to check this weeks news... And ... Some days ago one of my favorite illustrators Zsilvölgyi Csaba (Max) died in a traffic accident... T.T This can't be... just can't... T.T ... ... ... His drawings make my Codex corebook too precious for me to scan... I... This can't be... Hell. I'm sounding like a broken record... Forgive me T.T

I'm sorry to hear that news.

I'm really sorry. When an artist dies the world loses something important

Cheer up, Malitia!
Just think that his drawings will remain. Anyway, he would be glad to know that somebody will miss him and his work, and this is a sort of inmortality, isn't it?

I'm a bit better now. (Still emotionally unstable.)

The article about his death collected 165 "Rest in peace! We'll never forget you!" type messages in the last couple of days. Obviously I wasn't his only fan...

It's a pity that I discovered this artist today and not before.

I think his work is really great.

No wonder. As far as I know he was unknown outside of Hungary. But had a cult fanbase here. He was the most well known fantasy-sci-fi illustrator after Boros&Szikszai (They did some DarkEye stuff if someone's interested). He was one of the main illustrators of the M.A.G.U.S. RPG (together with B&S), sole illustrator of the Codex RPG (Except in some supplements) did magazine and book covers* etc.


* like lots of covers of the RPG magazine "Rúna" and the covers of the first Hungarian edition "Dark Elf Trilogy".
